A VIP event was staged to launch the $500m residential project, The Landmark this week. As part of St Leonards' urban renewal gentrification from commercial hub to mixed-use epicentre, when complete The Landmark will be the North Shore's tallest tower. The premier store, nestled betweenDarlinghurst and Rushcutters Bay just a few blocks from the water’s edge, is a destination space that speaks to the company’s growing presence in Australia.
Designed by Vanderbyl Design, the 2,395 sq. ft. showroom features a small set of stairs leading to its glass-walled entrance. Warm and sophisticated, the long space is wrapped in floor-to-ceiling windows with signature topiary hedge walls separating furniture and vignettes throughout the space.
Whitewashed walls hold chair displays, highlighting the company’s wide variety of seating options. Other spaces are divided by windowed-walls featuring accessories adding a fresh, airy setting.
The Sydney store represents a departure from JANUS et Cie store designs. White high-gloss porcelain tile floors and recessed lighting shows theextensive array of furniture, accessories and JANUS et Cie Textiles to great effect.
